Bio:
Spent most of my life in the Midwest; currently Illinois. Bounced around from Seattle, to Tampa, to San Jose, to other places I’d rather not talk about. Got a BA in Sociology, which of course is pretty much worthless in the job market. Then on to law school so I could “change the world”. Realized the “change” would be to me, so got out after two years (NO regrets).
Way to the left on the political spectrum, in most regards. Lifelong Dem… er, check that. I’m DONE. Only slight differences between the parties (and who they’re beholden to) now. Voted and worked for Obama in ’08. Of course I wasn’t so naïve as to totally believe all the “hope and change” rhetoric, but still I decided to put aside my hard-earned skepticism for once. And now, 4 years later? Bush is gone, but his evil lives on, continued and expanded by Barack Obama.
A little over 37 years ago, when I was 18, I met a 15-year old girl. Six months later we got married. Right now she’s sitting here asking me, “What are you typing now? You’re always talking on the internet!”… “Don’t worry, I’m writing something nice about you.”… “Oh, that’s ok then.” We decided to stop at two kids, both boys. Even though they’re now in their 30s, they’re still “kids”… funny how that works.
