Fox News "doctor" calls transpeople bullies -- State Legislators reveal the real bullies

Tuesday On Fox & Friends (which I do not watch), noted transphobic "doctor" Keith Ablow and legal analyst Arthur Aidala discussed the Planet Fitness story with that quintessential intellectual, Elizabeth Hasselback in the show's legal insanity segment.

In the past Ablow has stated his position that "he is not convinced that transgender identity is real.

Because people are “not settled on the fact that when somebody says, declares, ‘I am of this gender,’ but they are anatomically and genetically of another gender,” Ablow said the gym should have been more forgiving to the woman who complained. “They need to account for that and not judge the folks who feel exposed.

--Ablow

Aidala said that from a legal standpoint, under Michigan law, the gym had every right to act as they did in revoking the disruptive woman's membership.

[W]e get tongue-tied, we can’t say the obvious, which is this is craziness! You’re kicking out members because they feel uncomfortable that someone who seems to be a man to them, and is genetically, is looking at them naked?!”

“We are being bullied into accepting things that are untrue to our core feelings."

--Ablow

Meanwhile in Texas a GOP-backed bill would place a bounty of $2000 on each transgender student use of a public restroom in keeping with their gender identity.

If you really want to know the ideal way to encourage discrimination against a group, placing a bounty on some action that they have to perform daily would be what I would suggest. For instance, we could place a bounty on Muslim's praying...or Hindu people wearing a bindi...or Catholics with dusty foreheads on a certain Wednesday.

In Kentucky, Republican legislators have decided they needed to attach a transgender discrimination bill to a student rights package.

To add more evidence of how we transgender people...especially transgender women...are bullying everyone else...let me point to how Texas college football player Charlton Ray Champion, Jr. has been charged with murdering transgender woman Ty Lee Underwood, or how Mallory Antoine Porter has been charged with criminal homicide just for the shooting death of transgender woman Gizzy Fowler in Nashville. And don't forget how we have bullied the Christians by demanding our rights. And don't forget the sad case of Reginald Klaiber, who has to spend 4 years for stabbing a 15-year-old transgender girl on a train in DC. I mean, it's not like the girl died or anything.

I represent Representative Artiles’s greatest fear. I am Robert Sullivan. I am a transgender individual. I have not completed my transition. Transition is a long-running process.

I have a child who’s 18 who’s studying neuroscience at the University of Florida. I volunteer with Ready for Life with foster children who age out of the caregiving program when they have no safety net.

I work in the IT industry. I’m a business owner. I’m a Republican.

I see this bill as affecting not just my business, but my partner’s business. If I go to use the restroom, everybody in that restroom has the ability to sue me, my family, affect my child, affect my reputation.

Everything could be taken away from me. I live in the town of Celebration. I’ve worked damn hard to be in this town. But people believe I’m not a protected class.

You know, my father was in the military, I’ve worked with defense contractors, with Lockheed, Northrop Grumman, to help defend this country and its freedoms.

But you all just don’t get it. I’m so scared of all of you. You could put me in jail for being me.

This bill is government intrusion at its worst. At the company I currently work for, I’m Cindy Sullivan, they respect me, they let me use the restroom—the women’s restroom, and only the women’s restroom. This bill would require them to ID me at the door, and to have me go to a different location, breaking my workplace harmony, my job security.

I’ve dealt with bullies in high school. They’re bigger, they’re stronger, they’re meaner. And this is what I’m still suffering. I had primary custody of my child but I had to keep it quiet for who I was, because heaven forbid I’d be gay, because gay parents don’t make good, primary custodial parents.

I’ve read the Bible. I was a youth leader in the Presbyterian church. But if I transitioned, I can’t be anymore. So I sacrificed faith to be who I am.

Neuroscience has shown, there’s biological studies that show, that this is a condition that is normal in the human existence. MRI scannings of brains have noticed certain sections of the brain match that of the female anatomy.

Trans men, who are women who want to become men, are they not—you guys make a flippant attitude about a woman in the restroom, is that OK?

Imagine me being in the woman’s restroom, sir. Imagine that harassment I would suffer. You don’t think I have ever been stalked? Objectified? Sexualized? Where’s my safe place to run to for me?

Oh, that’s right. I’m not a protected class. I am a throwaway piece of trash in this country of freedom and liberty and respect.

I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to be here and get emotional. But this is emotional, so I’m sorry madam chair.
