Section 9: Conspiracy Theories

Originally this term was used to mean just exactly what those two words imply: a theory that there has been a conspiracy, usually of a political or criminal nature. Since the advent of the internet, it has generally come to mean a fringe belief of incredible events held by crackpots. VOTS prefers to remain open-minded and will not outright ban any and all talk of conspiracy; however, if users are going to make conspiracy claims, they should be prepared to back up their claims with credible and convincing evidence, or they may be subject to sanction.
